Teeth Whitening

If discolored, yellowed teeth are causing you to feel self-conscious, then it’s time to consider cosmetic dental treatment.

Drs. Amy Creech-Gionis, Lauren Maass, Alisha Anand, and Hannah Fortier offer incredible teeth whitening options to transform your smile.

Why choose whitening treatment at our Westchase or Carrollwood, FL, office instead of over-the-counter products?

3 Advantages of Professional Teeth Whitening

Effective

While store-bought whitening products claim to be very effective, the results are pretty unreliable compared to professional treatment. We use the patented Opalescence whitening system that delivers successful results every time.

Safe

Professional teeth whitening is safe and carefully formulated to whiten without damaging your tooth enamel. Our Opalescence treatments work gently and should not cause discomfort even in patients with sensitive teeth.

Custom

Our patients get to choose the kind of results they want out of their treatment, whether that be a naturally bright shade or a dazzling movie-star white. Unlike over-the-counter whiteners, professional care is easy to customize.

How Does Teeth Whitening Work?

Though durable and resilient, tooth enamel dulls and becomes yellow with time. Age, genetics, smoking and chewing tobacco, and consuming dark-colored foods and beverages all contribute to this problem. Once the enamel is compromised, regular cleanings and whitening toothpaste will not be enough to remove stains

Professional tooth whitening systems contain bleaching agents, such as hydrogen peroxide, that safely penetrate the enamel and break up stains. These formulas can strip away years of built-up discoloration without damaging your teeth, leaving your smile a bright shade of white.

Are You a Good Candidate?

Candidates for teeth whitening should practice good dental hygiene and have healthy teeth and gums. Your dentist will first treat any periodontal disease and tooth decay before moving on to cosmetic treatments . Tooth whitening will only work on surface stains so if a tooth has intrinsic or internal discoloration, we can recommend an alternative treatment such as veneers .

Our Teeth Whitening Options

At Tampa Dental Wellness , patients can choose from two different teeth whitening options depending on their needs and preferences. Our Carrollwood practice offers:

In-Office Teeth Whitening

In-office teeth whitening produces quick, long-lasting results in a single appointment. The in-office Opalescence system uses professional-strength whitening gel combined with heat and light to produce immediate results. One of our dentists will carefully apply the gel to your tooth enamel and cover your teeth with a closed-system mouthpiece. A combination of heat and light in the mouthpiece activates the whitening gel and brightens your teeth up to five shades in about an hour.

Take-Home Teeth Whitening

Medicine

If you want to maintain your in-office whitening results or if you simply want to achieve whiter teeth in the comfort of your home, we also provide take-home Opalescence treatment. The at-home system includes hydrogen peroxide gel and the patented Opalescence LED light that patients can recharge and use at their leisure. Similar to the treatment in the office, the system is proven to whiten your teeth by several shades and is safe even for long-term use.

What Does Whitening Cost?

We charge $399 for our in-office Opalescence teeth whitening and $299 for the take-home system . However, patients can take advantage of our special offer to receive 50% off their at-home whitening kit by purchasing it on the same day as their in-office whitening treatment .
