Advanced Imaging Technology
Our office uses advanced cone beam CT scans and digital x-rays to assess the condition of your jaw and your candidacy for dental implants. Patients who lack enough bone tissue to support a dental implant may require a bone graft or a sinus lift to replace lost tissue. CT scans also reveal the best placement locations by helping the doctor identify the strongest points in the jaw and the positions of the nerves and sinuses. Planning Your Procedure
Dr. Creech-Gionis uses a custom surgical guide when placing dental implants. Working with a lab, she creates this advanced device based on the images gathered during your appointment. In fact, with the surgical guide, the placement procedure takes as little time as a tooth extraction. Meanwhile, the incisions are so small and precise that patients typically only need one or two sutures per implant.
